Fireplaces are a place where plaster meets stone. These photographs show a stone chimney breast opened up and lined, a plaster patch repair on a damaged breast, a room with granite wall and fireplace before plastering and a granite fireplace in a finished plastered room.
One photograph shows a wooden surround with a fire burning in it. Another shows a stone gable wall with a timber truss exposed in a loft.
